Huh, looks like I got ripped off. This was not a BMW dealer but a shop that turned out even though they advertise they work on BMWs have no knowledge about the car.

The main gest here is the repair shop said my plugged PCV valves flooded the engine's intake and exhaust with oil contaiminating everything. My local BMW dealer said the mechanic who told me that story is an idiot and doesn't know my car.

Since this is not even a valid BMW part number (38-40 not in use) they must have made the number up to justify charging for replacing them.
