Thanks Rainman for the information. I think I have been doing it wrong. So this is how it is done -

1. Turn the ignition on (not to ac. but on).
2. Unplug the cover to the OBD port.
3. Set the reset tool to inspection.
4. Plug the reset tool in.
5. Press the little button till the red LED light goes out.
6. Remove the tool and replace the cover.
7. Turn the ignition off and then on.

How does this look?
