If your car has an air bag, I believe that the adjustable steering was not available. My '88 has heat and arm rests, but these may have been optional.
From what I've read in the 4 weeks I've owned this car, if you have a 735i the standard equipment list was not as extensive as that on a 735il.
Hope this helps, Jim
PS, Just to introduce myself, I bought an '88 735i with 122k miles four weeks ago. I live in central Ohio. This board has been very helpful as I get to know the idiosyncrasies of these cars. This is my first BMW, so please don't be too hard on me if I ask a stupid question or offer advice based on limited knowledge.
I just purchased the car and find that this car is different than most others. It does not have adjustable steering, no heated seats, and no arm rests. Is this common or did I buy an oddball? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
