The batteries that Alex is referring to are
"capacitors" located in the instrument cluster.
Scour the E-38 and E-32 archives. The E-32 board
was split off some time ago and much good E-32
info still resides in the E-38 archives.
Also, read the E-34 archives, typing in "capacitors". Also as far as the 735i, the
rear suspension can not be lowered without changing the springs. On the iL, the LAD rear
suspension is adjustable for height.
Hope this helps,

WOW! Alex you are a true Bimmer Freak! no offense. where on the dash would I find these batteries??
and thank you thank you!
for all of this advise on what to look for and where to look for it.
have a safe and happy Holiday
