As for the rear subframe bushings, they may not be bad. You do have to consider them as a possibility by checking the camber angles, movement, etc. As for the part to use, that is up to you. If it were me, and I were going to undertake this myself, and out of a desire not to have to do it again, I would use the BMW original parts. In fact, I only use BMW OE parts on my cars because I find that then you only fix something once. There are however, quality aftermarket parts available. You just need to find them.

You know my rear sub frame was replaced about a year ago. I didn't think that bushings in the rear would have affected the front. Furthermore I didn't have new ones put in. Damn!!it was a costly repair too.
thanks again I will look into having them replaced aswell. Should I put after market name brand other than BMW's own? earlier a guy was putting down BMW original suspension and how he replaced his with H&R and was byfar the best his car had ever performed. what do you think. Again if I'm going to spend 500dlls in labor might aswell by the parts and do it myself..
