Bullshit, you can use a much cheaper, ordinery battery with Cap. 88AH + the connection must be the same..
Trying to find info on replacing the battery on my mom's 1992 735iL. The dealer wants $145 for the battery - says it's got a vent hole not on regular batteries. Is this really necessary? How about a Diehard battery (size?)?

Also, how do you get to it under the back seat? I'm not familiar with BMW's.
