I think that the rear sway links to which your mechanic is referring are the rear suspension "dog bones". Their proper name is rear pitman arms which connect the trailing arms to the rear axle carrier on each side of the car. Each dog bone costs about $80 and two are required. Both can easily be replaced in under an hour.

It is the rear sway links. What is the cost est.? It doesn't seem as tight as before even just driving down the road. Any other ideas? Thanks.

What is the story on sway links? My dealer said these need to be replaced? Would someone explain these and est. $$ to replace. Thanks. SS
