735iL's are not as expensive to maintain as 740iL's or the big 750iL's. I brought a 1992 735iL four months ago from a BMW Dealer with a 12 month warranty and it was dealer maintained from new. 111'000 miles on the clock and the car really is in showroom condition. I have spent $US265 since I have had it(four months) and $US175 of that was to buy a remote key. So I've only spent $US90 on it and that was to pay the excess to put a new radiator(under warranty) in after my local BMW Dealer found one of the clamps had been put on to tight and this put a small crack in it, and also I had the BMW logos replaced on all the wheels(which they all fade at sometime) and the trunk and hood logos too(the finishing touches). I don't know about Scott Wilson's 735iL but I've spent $90 dollars in 4 months, thats no where near his estimate. Try to get a 735iL from a BMW Dealer if possible, or get one with a warranty. You have choosen a very good model and year too, the year 1990 and up have all the bugs worked out on them.

Good Luck,
Rodzy (1992 735iL).
