I do not think that your statement "guibos are only used on manual transmission cars" is correct. Every BMW that I have owned (with exception of the 750, you are correct here) has had a quibo irregardless of manual or automatic transmission. My 88 750 is the newest BMW I have owned or own.

My past or present BMW's with guibos: E9 (manual and auto), E21 (auto), E24 (auto), 2002 (manual), E28 (manual).

Hi,

guibos are only used on manual transmission cars. So no guibo on 750s. Had the same problem on my car. Vibration more or less from under my seat when acceleration from 0 to about 25mls (40kmh).

Had the complete drive shaft replaced plus center mount and both tranny mounts. No more problems. Used original BMW exchange shaft. 750$ for parts and labor. But that is Germany. Would not even know where to have U-joints replaced, shaft balanced etc.

Quite shure its the shaft. Mine lasted 165'mls.

Good luck, Ekkehart
