New drive shaft (archive)

I just finished putting a new drive shaft in my '89 735i (170k miles) and MAN does it run good now!!

It has been rattling and vibrating for a long time but I didn't want to spend the $1,100 for a new one + $110 for a swing bearing from my local dealer.

I ordered one from GAPA for about $300 last week and it came in yesterday (swing bearing included). My father-in-law and I put it in this afternoon and I can honestly say that's the best $300 I've spent in a long time. Now I'm not afraid to step hard on the gas at a green light!
