Iv heard people say that the 735i/il auto may not
have thrust bearings making tha conversion very
difficult.I also looked in to this for my 735i
when my auto box died for the second time buy got nowhere.I hope someone else knows more ???


Well, since some 88 735i's actually came with a manual 5-speed I'd say this is a reasonable swap. The hardest part might be finding the proper pedal arrangement for under the dash.
