One for the grilles :-) (archive)

I know it's a geek question, but I have noticed that the aspect ratio of the kidney grilles on the E32 changed.
On my 89 735 they are taller than they are wide, on a picture I was looking at of a 93 740 they are wider than tall.
This (because the hood "flows" into the grille) means that the hood is different.

Did it alter, or am I mad ?
If so when ?
