Not a V12 expert, but have you checked the battery voltages / state? All the DME stuff can allow for some voltage change, but at low RPMS the alternator output will drop off and the load will move to the battery - if it's not in too good a state of charge and/or bad connection then it'll be a fight for the DME to keep things going. 400RPM is probably below the alternator cut-in (usually just below normal idle).

Only suggesting this as had the same happen on EFI BMW 2 wheelers before - battery could start but not run the engine. Alternator got problems... bike would start then rapidly fizzle out. Charged battery - A-OK. Turned out to be bad main earth strap.

Seeing as how this is very intermittent and cycling igniton clears it, I'm thinging it could be this sort of electrical scenario....
