cleaning INSIDE headlights - anyone done this? (archive)

Hi all.

The Blobs' headlights are looking decidedly like they have cataracts - going white on the INSIDES of the lenses (both full and one low). Anyone got any experience on how to get into the units and clean them (presume meths or the like)....?? Also heard the warnings about the "painted on"
reflectors - I mainly want to clean the glass alone.

I can get them out of the car OK. TIA..
