I'll stop now. But, to the hotshot youngsters, please remember that we are all on this earth for about the same amount of time, its just that some of us started earlier than others. You should be so lucky as to someday get old. I figure we're like a bunch of matches. We're lit when born, burn a while and go out. If we're lucky -- and good drivers -- we don't get snuffed out early.
I recall my first job out of college and thinking that experience didn't much matter. What mattered was how smart you were. I eventually got over that.
For what its worth, my dear ol' Dad, rest his soul, bought me a new Olds Cutlass, GTO and Corvette before I even got into college. I thank him in a way, but I've maintained the habit of pissing away a lot of money on fancy cars long after he was around to pay for them. I should have bought stock in Microsoft. But I'm sure every Dad is welcome to buy their sons and daughters whatever they wish.
