Ok, so I jumped the gun a bit with my language. I apologise for that.

There seems to be a LOT of resentment by the older generation toward us younger people today, and I am sensitive to it I guess. Just because we are financially successful at ages that were "kid-like" a generation ago, and because we dye our hair green and have body piercings and tatoos does NOT mean that we are not your equals. It's just taste and styles.

While I am not about to give my Microsoft department out, you have to realize that most of us with any responsibility here are under 26 years old. The janitors and bean counters are older, and of course, the Founders themselves are too, but they are young thinkers and are still productive at 35 or 40.

You mention the makers of the cars we drive. Well, without us, they couldn't design OR build their cars anymore. The World needs us. We RUN the World, period. Just how much could possibly operate without computers and the code that runs them? Zip, Nada, NOTHING.

When we write code, we load it with stuff that makes it impossible for anyone else to follow it. We WILL control everything because we know how to and because society is giving away all control to computers, and WE control the computers.

Lets face it, you cannot even check out at the supermarket without computer registers, scanners, computerized inventory, etc.. Same for fuel, power, and EVERYTHING else.

Man, without us, you guys would be back in the stone age. There is NO way to run the World using slide rules anymore, if any of you actually knows what those were!

So, bottom line, we ARE your rulers, and that's OK because it keeps us in grub and toys, but don't get too "Holier than thou" about it unless you've forgotten who keeps this society running.

Nothing personal, but it's FACT, whether you like it or not.

As far as my MSFT options and such, OK, I'll give you that one for now, but try walking into Park Place Motors without a Microsoft badge and see how far you get. I still have enough credit to choke a horse, but I'm smart enough NOT to use it. As long as my folks are willing to buy my "family time" I won't have to.

Supply and demand at work. I have the knowledge, and I get paid for it at work. I have my parents' attention, and they are willing to pay for it as well. Everything has its price today, and nobody gets anything without paying up.

THAT's what I learned from you older guys, and I am just putting it into practice. You taught me well. By the way, I am glad to see that there are some young guys like me here on the forum who agree. Lends some credibility to my points.

Have a good night, gentlemen.

Phil

Let me help make your kid a success! billr1100rs@webtv.net 570-342-6880
