Hiya Randy.

From what I've read replacing the mustard relay WON'T fix intermittent headlights/foglights - that's in the LKM only, either the relays in there go bad or (seems more common) there is a bad soldering joint on the curcuit board for that light - each light has it's own relay/bad bulb detector set in there...

The mustard relay seems to be more side/stop/tail lights, BTW.

Suggestion would be to search the archives for LKM references and/or warm up the soldering iron if you feel proficient and/or source a replacement from somewhere else... soldering does seem to fix it though.

Max (87 735, fixed LKM - someone else did it!)

Can anyone help with this one? When I bought my 89 750il the headlights and taillights were rigged to bypass a bad light control module. This was accomplished by running a wire from one light to another. Needless to say I immediately removed the wires, replaced the light control module and replaced the mustard relay. Everything was fine for about a week. Now all of the sudden the passenger side headlight intermittently goes off. I've replaced the halogen but still have the same problems. Can anyone come to my rescue before I start up the chainsaw and turn my car car into expensive scrap metal? Thank you in advance for your help.
