The 750iL has what BMW calls "Volume Control Valves" and "Check Valves." The Volume Control Valves have wire-mesh screens inside of them. They are located just underneath the valve covers on the front of the engine. They will have two rubber hoses on them. They simply pull up. Clean them in solvent if the are dirty.

Be careful when removing the oil cap. BMW recommends the car sits for a few minutes when first turned off. Forcing the plastic cap will break it if the engine has a lot of vacuum. I believe some 750iL have the steel oil filer caps in front to correct this problem. Caps are around $10 at you local dealer.
