Thought about getting a piece of aluminium strip (fairly thick) and filing to fit in between the reinforcing edges on the casting and then bending to take the right angle - you could then screw/epoxy the strap over the break? (if there is enough clearance to the door lock motor behind for screws)...?

The door lock knob on the drivers door would not come up all the way. All the other doors fine. Had to open the back door and pull the knob up the rest of the way. Seemed like at first it was just happening in the cold. Thought it might need some lube. I took of the door panel and Look what I found.
Does anyone know if I can get this bracket by itself or the stealer is going to tell me that they only sell the whole assy?
