That's what I was fixing when I had problems with my mirrors (upon reassembly, see below post). The bracket is part of the door handle assembly and cannot be replaced by itself. I bought one (door handle assembly) from Active Auto Parts in Millington, TN for $50. One other yard, I forget who, wanted $120. New the dealer wanted $200. There were several posts on the 7 series digest with details of how people fixed them. Good luck. The removal is not too bad if you do not run into problems. I had a problem with removal of the latch (screws were frozen) and then had the problem with the mirrors. Also, I had a locksmith swap the tumblers. You may want to try that yourself. My mechanic said it was a bear, so I just had someone do it. I got the removal procedure from searching the archives. Good luck.Hugh "Rosty" Manson

The door lock knob on the drivers door would not come up all the way. All the other doors fine. Had to open the back door and pull the knob up the rest of the way. Seemed like at first it was just happening in the cold. Thought it might need some lube. I took of the door panel and Look what I found.
Does anyone know if I can get this bracket by itself or the stealer is going to tell me that they only sell the whole assy?
Thanks,
kbia
