Hugo: You may win the prize for most miles(300K). That's what I wanted to hear that mine might be expected to live considerably longer since I "only" have 168k miles. I guess it's just broken in - HA!! Now I am getting cocky. I better be careful or it will blow tomorrow.
how many miles does it take to be a high mileage car? after seeing a post about buying a "high mileage" car i was wondering what kind of miles others had on there cars. mine is an 88 735i with 237,000. this motor still runs like a new one. doesn't use a drop of oil. the oil is also as clean as the day you put it in after 3000 miles. this car will still do around 150mph(with chip and a few other mods). i guess the term "high mileage is all dependent upon what type of car you have.
