At least something will be on if the low beams go out in traffic. I'm sure you will make others unhappy if you drive with high beams on.

Symptomatic of LKM or light control module. Much written about this in archive, search for "LKM"

Actually, when my LKM went bad I'd lose both the high and low beams and also the tail lights. The fog lights got me home twice.
