have the correct coding plug. They are available in mph and kph. I believe on your year the coding plug plugs into the dash cluster then the wiring harness plugs into that. Later models had the coding plug built in the cluster seperately.

hi gang
Just converting a 88 735i from MPH to KMH . Have changed the instrument cluster and the OBC. Now the new OBC has converted back to MPH and I can't get an Odometer display in the dash.
have tried the programming details set out in the archives butwithout success, any hints ???

Thanks for your help guys have sorted out the different coding plug and everything works except for the ododmeter, can vaguely see reading but not lighting up correctly.
I'm converting a Hong Kong import to Australian compliance and the authorities need everything working correctly before I can legally license the car. Having fun doing this and learning heaps, they sure are well put together cars.
