Have a 94 740i with oil leak that appears to be coming
from left side of engine. Valve cover gaskets appear ok.
What other sources could acount for the leak?
phil

I also have the same make and model year and I definitely have the power steering fluid loss. If it is a power steering fluid leak, check to see if the color of the power steering fluid is green. Pentocin is the name of the fluid and most likely it is coming from the power steering hose joints or the hoses themselves. First you will need to clean all the hoses and pump areas so you can see exactly where the leak is coming from. You will need someone to turn the steering wheel back and forth as this will allow additional pressure to squeeze the fluid through any potential leak points. Worst case could be the pump itself. Then it is a matter of replaceing the appropriate part. Good luck.
