Here's an old trick.

Hit the front side (yes, the front side) of the rotor between the wheel bolt holes with a hammer. This works for stuck drums on drum brakes.

For every action, ther is a equal and opposite reaction. There is an equal and opposite force which pushes the rotor off when you hit it on.


I've got an '89 750il with 150k; trying to replace front rotors but they won't budge. Have tried brute strength in addition to lubricating with wd40 to no avail. During the fiasco I broke off a small piece of the rotor. The only thing I haven't tried is heating it with a torch. What do you all suggest?
