I've got an '89 750il with 150k; trying to replace front rotors but they won't budge. Have tried brute strength in addition to lubricating with wd40 to no avail. During the fiasco I broke off a small piece of the rotor. The only thing I haven't tried is heating it with a torch. What do you all suggest?


The big hammer method always works. Just be careful. I have seen them fracture coming off. One guy in the shop had a stubborn rotor and he hit it hard enough to send it flying into the side of a new 740 in the next bay. The 740 received a nice gash on the rear quarter.
