'89 735i. I need to replace the ignition lock cylinder. The normal procedure is to insert the key, turn 60 degrees and then insert a 0.045" wire in the hole on the side. This would normally release the cylinder which can then be pulled out using the key. If one cannot turn the key to expose the little hole on the side, is there another way to remove the cylinder?
