Please post your results with the J-B Weld. I, too, have a broken bracket (passenger's side) and the thought of removing the mechanism, much less the cost of a replacement part, makes the idea of an epoxy weld very appealing.

I'm trying some steel weld epoxy [J-B Weld]. This stuff has a cure time of 15 hours so it wont be till tomorrow that I'll find out if it works or not. Trying to get it done without removing the assy.

The door lock knob on the drivers door would not come up all the way. All the other doors fine. Had to open the back door and pull the knob up the rest of the way. Seemed like at first it was just happening in the cold. Thought it might need some lube. I took of the door panel and Look what I found.

Does anyone know if I can get this bracket by itself or the stealer is going to tell me that they only sell the whole assy?

Thanks,
kbia

Another approach to fixing this problem would be to add another aftermarket actuator in the drivers door. It seem to work for me and I didn't have to worry about how to fix the bracket.
