I have a '93 750iL with the old big steering wheel which i want to replace with a newer one; found on '95 and up Bimmers. Even my 1995 325i had that design and older 3' used to have the same big one that i have, so I know it is possible to upgrade the wheel i just want to know how much does it cost and would I loose the use of my airbag because of the switch it?

P.S.
some guy at the dealership said that it cant be done because they would need to replace the entire wheel not just the outer rim because of the different size air bags. I just want to know if someone has one it and what it entails.
