I used semi-metallics one time and they warped the rotors in 12,000 miles. Switched to oem organics and so far 15,000 with no problems. My advice: stay with the organics unless you want to go racing

Until last week every brake pad i tried gave me the same result's .......that annoying squealing at all speeds, i tried thorough caliper cleaning, dealer pads, even repco, and i fixed the problem with Bendix semi-metallic pads, front & rear cost me under 125.00 for both, listen guys take my advice the older bimmers, never give this problem {70's & early 80's models} i know, i have 3 of em, but in the newer 90's vehicles the braking systems alway's seem to give some sort of diffuculties,,,So if you wanna save some bucks and get good quality try the bendix pads ..good luck
