Mine did the same: as I shut off the engine it would warn me of oil level although with warm engine shut down it was halfway between the markers.

I added a litre of premium quality oil and the "problem" went away; it seems this beast likes to warn you well in advance before the level drops seriously.

Interestingly adding a whole litre didn't even bring the level to the upper mark: even though this car has twice normal car oil (7.5 litres) that's still a lot to fit between the markers.

I've only had this monster for a day so don't take me for an expert quite yet :-)
