Hi!

I have two questions about oil level warning.

Is it normal that oil level warning for the first time comes on only after a drive when I have removed the key? After that it comes on when car is started and goes away some seconds after I drive away.

Oil level on the dipstic is on the lower mark just after shutdown of the engine, then if you wait for couple of minutes it goes to middle between the marks. But when oil is cold (car sits overnight) oil level is again on the lower mark .... Is it like it should be?

Yes your car is acting normally in all aspects.
The check control has 3 different 'priority' types of message.
The 'engine oil low' message is a priority 3 which means it will not actually alert you while the car is being driven / or as soon as it is registered. If it senses that the oil level is too low during a journey it will wait until you have stopped before gonging you. Same with start up. If it senses it is too low before you have started it will tell you then and there.
When checking the level on the dipstick, by far the most accurate reading is always on a level surface after sitting overnight. BMW recommend adding oil not until the level drops to near the lower mark. Never below. You will probably find it will take about 1 1/2 litres to bring it right back up.
Cheers,
Brian P.
