The device you are talking about is very simple and there for should not cost much from the dealer. I have one but use it constantly, so I suggest you purchase it. The dealer probably will not have one in stock, but can order it in. I am guessing cost will be about $20.00.


I'm replacing the front oil seal on my 78 733i 4speed. I need the special tool that holds the flywheel in place by grabbing hold of the teeth on the ringgear. I would like to buy one off the board, but I will resort to the dealer if necessary. Will the dealer have this?
