Thats right, the 18 mpg average and 28 mpg at 65 mph is for my 1988 735i. I think that everything is in pretty good shape as it just went through Pennsylvania Emissions.

CO% Limit:0.88 Reading:0.06
HC ppm Limit: 157 Reading: 15
NO ppm Limit:1184 Reading: 8
Test RPM: 1994
Dilution: 15.2%

So, from these numbers, I thing that the O2 sensor is still good.
