My 1988 750il with 96,000 miles on the ODO has suddenly developed a moan or groan from somewhere under the hood (most noticeable at idle). I suspect the Power Steering unit and a reservoir check showed a half full (or empty) reservoir. I had no CH 7.1 on had so I left that alone. The PS pump has a remanufactired label on it so I suspect it is of recent origin. I could see no leaks from top side and since I recently purchased this machine for a BMW certified master mechanic (factory trained) and he is still warranting it, The Bullet goes in to see Klaus tomorrow. Oh, does the PS reservoir also feed the LAD?
