The Pentosin level should be just below the screen level unless you have pumped it after the engine is off, so don't fill it otherwise. Also, my pump and hoses have been damp looking for years. My mechanic told me not to worry unless its dripping. I occasionally put a little in. Same for the rear shocks. Of course, if you simply want everything perfect, you can replace everything, and you may be at the point where you have to do something. I started out that way, but after $6,000 or so I decided to just fix what really aggravated me. Of course, I spent $1,500 this past week having front shocks replaced, Mentex brake pads intalled when the Padgids were only a few months old, replacing the rear window seals, etc., etc. Only the shocks were essential, and that only because one of the new Bilsteins was defective, so I went from Sport to Touring while I was at it. And replaced the upper bushings. Anyway, good luck.Lin Gilbert

Oh, does the PS reservoir also feed the LAD?
Jawohl Mein Herr! It might be a rear LAD hose leak, or the dreaded rear strut drizzle.
Slid underneath and there is a light coating of what appears to be engine oil (CHF 7.1?) on the frame rail, and around the steering arm to pitman arm area. Too much other stuff to isolate exactly where it is coming from but it is definitely aft of the PS pump.
