I replaced my stock 15" wheels on my 88 750iL with the Breyton Inspiration, 17x8.5 13mm offset, self leveling suspension. Pilot Sport XGT Z4 245-45-17. They fit well with no modifications. I think the 235 size would be fine with a little additional clearance in the rear but slightly shorter rolling diameter. With larger rubber, make sure your front suspension components are in good shape as there will be additional stress placed up there. Cornering substantially improved. Ride comfort not much stiffer. The rear springs with self leveling suspension are softer than without(so I've heard). Road feel great. Would certainly do it again. The 17s fill the wheel well great. I'm considering replacing the stock wheels on my 93 750iL with 17"x8.5" Breyton Inspiration wheels with 235/45-17 Dunlop SP Sport 9000 tires. Anyone have any experience doing this? Will I need any modifications or will they bolt right on? Thanks in advance.
