Henri,

if 22mpg is thirsty than you should exchange cars or places with me. My average over the last 20k mls is close to 14.5 mpg or 15.9l/100km. Had to change light bulbs on the OBC so everything went back to zero.

But my average speed respectively is 78.9kmh = 49mph. So no "ground idle" "low flying" is the motto. With very dense city traffic and no highway I have been as low as 11mpg! After less than 400km I was running on fumes (102l = 26 gallon fuel tank!). Regards Ekkehart
