Check the idler (belt tension) pulley(s). Take a stethoscope (automotive type) with you.


I checked out a 91 850i 6sp with 95k miles on it. The car makes whinny/squeaking noise. I'm wondering if that's normal for M70B50 engine. I recall that the E32 750i has this noise too.
