Matthew,
The 93 750il only had one option as far as the "fast facts" books list and that was the Electronic Dampining Control (EDC), the Active Leveling System (ALS) was standard. The EDC would help smooth out the shocks at 90+ mph with a full # of passengers (according to a BMW mechanic with 17+ yrs of experience) he talked me into bypassing that when I replaced my shocks. The shocks with EDC were $500 more than the non EDC. Good luck in your search, Gilbert's right you're doing the right things.
