If you are talking about the stock cross-spoke design 15x7's, the offset is 20mm

And IMHO, as long as you only go to a 16 or 17, the ride doesn't really get hurt, but handling is MUCH better. I went from 15" to 17", and the performance difference is amazing. If you are going to bother changing wheels, add some more performance witht the +1 or +2 setup!!!

Does anyoe one know the specs on the stock 15"x7" that came on my 91 750iL. I am lookig to replace them with a differnet looking 15x7 wheels maybe from a newer BMW.
I think they have 5 x 120 bolt pattern but I do not know the off-set.

I do not know what will and won't fit. So I am looking for some help and/or suggestions.

I want to keep the great ride so do not want to upgrade from 15"

I appreciate your help and wisdom.
