1) 735 vs. 750 - the 735 is much less expensive to maintain. The big-6 engine in the 735 has been around for years, and is very easy to work on compared with the 750.

2) 88 vs. 91 735 - my mechanic says that the 1988 735's have LOTS of electrical problems. Now that I own one, I can confirm this. You'd probably be better off buying the 91. I bought the 88 simply because I wanted a 5-speed, and couldn't find a 1989 or 1990.

Hope this helps,
Troy

My Uncle is looking to buy a new car soon and he currently has a 1990 Cadillac Deville. And he doesn't really know what he want's I was showing him a 1991 735IL that is at a used car lot in San Antonio (that's where he lives). Now I have a 1989 750IL and I know he won't want a 750 but maby a 735. Do the 1991's have less problems than the 88's? and are the 735's cheaper to maintain than the 750's?
