I think it probably depends on what your "vibration" is ..

I was in a similar situation. I had my heart set on a 750, but just couldn't bring myself to cope with the fuel costs (UK), and couldn't get a quote for conversion to LPG. Then along came this immaculate 730 V8 with 140K miles on the clock. After I purchased it, I started the research ...

Every time I let mine idle I listen out for anything ... I convince myself that it's rougher than the last time ... It's is not a perfect idle, but I could certainly stand a coin edge-on on the top cover and there's no way it would fall. It's a lot smoother than the 530 (6 cyl) I had before ...

If you check out www.5301.org (just about the best on this subject), the first symptom is defined as "EXCESSIVELY rough idle". Trouble is, what is "excessively" ... apparently they all "rock" a little ..

Maybe I'll just spend the rest of my time with the car worrying at every turn, or hopefuly I'll get some sense, and "get a life", and start worrying about those strange tranny noises instead :-)

Chris.
