I finally replaced the capacitors in my instrument panel. The result is that all the instruments now work. The only thing that worked before was the actual speedometer and the illumination. Now everything in the dash functions. I can tell how much fuel I have, I can see the temperature, and I can see what my mileage is. I hear some people talk about the job taking 5 or 10 minutes but I'd have to say those are the people who are very familiar with electronics and soldering. It took me about an hour to do the job. I ordered the capacitors from Mouser Electronics. The capacitors (25volt 220uf 105c) were .57 each. I only replaced 3 of the 5 capacitors because the other two were 22uf and all I ordered were the 220uf. Regardless, it worked.
