The ETK and the TIS only show F8LCR for the M70 (V12) engine.

BMW introduced a long life high power plug in 1999
NGK BKR6EQUP. They claim it is much better (change after 35-40,000mls). Makes sense on the V12 due to the high labor cost and the difficulty changing the plugs.

There is no answer to whether Platinum +4 is good or not. If they are recommended by either Bosch or BMW approved they should do the job. I would rather trust a car manufacturer or a major plug manufacturer like Bosch, Beru, NGK, Champion etc. than any mechanics personal opinion.

And never expect a wounder from spark plugs.
