That sounds like problems with the fluid. When was the last time you had your tranny fluid and tranny filter changed? People think it never needs to be changed but that is not true, the tranny oils quality after 100,000 miles and 10 years is quite different than it was when originally inserted to the tranny.

When the oil heats up it enlargens so it could be that you're having too little fluid also.

The manual says to check the fluid level like this:
1. With engine warm, leave it running, gear on P
2. Wipe the dipstick with cloth then reinsert
3. Level should be between the markers, if its not then add some. The amount of oil between the 2 markers is 0.3 litre.
