In Reply to: 88 735 HOW DO YOU RESET CHECK ENGINE LIGHT posted by CLARENCE on April 02, 2001 at 22:27:55:

I just replaced my O2 sensor on my 88 735i also. The check engine light stayed on for about a day and then went off automatically. So, if your's is the same as mine then it should go out by itself. Why was it a bitch to install the new one? All I had to do was connect the wires and screw in the sensor.
