I paid about $750 for new upper control arms with the 750 bushings, lower arms and new tie rods. Labor and alignment included. each arm was 1 hour labor. 6 arms total.

Make sure that they put the 750 bushings in the upper arms, they are more heavy duty and will last longer.

Hey guys, just looking for a little peace of mind here. I bring my 93 740i to a local BMW/Mercedes/Volvo shop for oil changes and general maintenance. They are top notch and have all the computer equipment needed to service up to 2000 model BMW's.

When they change my oil, they go through the car from top to bottom and have been telling me that my front end (tie rods, bushings etc) needs to be replaced. Today they showed me the considerable play in the right front wheel and told me it was about to go. I said do it.

I am very happy with the quality at this shop, but want to know if $650 sounds like a decent price. This includes everything needed, alignemnt and all.

On a side note, they gave me a 1991 Mercedes 190E with 114k on it and in good shape and IMO, Mercedes never should have put there name one this car.

Thanks in advance,

Joe
