Operation of lumbar support? (archive)

How does the lumbar support in the driver's seat actually work? Here's what happens in mine. When I use the switch to increase the lumbar support, it feels like a balloon is filling in the seat, but it doesn't hold the air that is filling it. Once I stop pressing the switch, it feels as if the balloon is deflating.

So the question is, is there something similar to a balloon in there? And what do you think my problem is? TIA.
