I know E32s are VERY similar to E34, so I figured I'd ask here too... thanks in advance.
My right lowbeam doesn't work. It's not the bulb (I tested it in a different socket, and it worked, tested a good one in it, and it didn't light it up), the fuse is fine. I don't think there is 12V at the plugs, cuz I touched the + and - together and it didn't blow the fuse. The wires look fine visually. Can anyone think of anything else I should check? Here's one interesting fact... I don't get the LOW BEAM warning until I disconnect the right bulb... so it is getting current thru it? (circuit?) But the bulb would light up then, right? I have tested good bulbs in there (they worked on the other lowbeam) and they don't light up, put em back in the left lowbeam and they work fine. I'm totally at a loss... do I just take it to an electrician??
Thanks for the help... BTW... these are euro ellipsoids wired into a US-spec car, if that matters... the light worked, but just stopped a few nights ago.
Tim look inside the hood for a black box labeled LKM it is the light control module inside of it there are several small relays
thse relays have become unsoldered if you are handy with a soldering iron you can solder them otherwise have a good friend do this. Check archives for exact procedure.
